Who loves Pinterest as much as I do!? I love to make all sorts of things from Pinterest that I've never actually thought of making before. It gives me a challenge when the ingredients seem a bit confusing, and not as simple as "but milk in bowl. Stir milk until frothy." But just like everyone else I doubt myself when it doesn't look like the picture, or when I, or everyone in my house knows I F'ed up.
But that's ok. We all make mistakes when we first test out something that we drool over on Pinterest that we think that is going to turn out good. That's the number one rule that any cook she be ok with.
Mistakes Are Going To Happen
I will honestly admit, I've maybe...probably...somewhat cried because I screwed up dinner trying to cook something too difficult off Pinterest. Or I just didn't read the recipe all the way because I was trying to act like I know what I was doing. But, I've made up for those mistakes. I learned what not to do, what I needed to do differently, and what adjustments I could have made to make it better. So don't beat yourself up about. It takes a few tries to make things perfect, or just edible.
Don't Be Afraid To Be Creative
My granny always told me don't be afraid to be creative. Adding your own ingredients to the recipe is not always a bad idea. For someone who like to cook I'm very, very, very picky when it comes to foods that I like. I'm always taking things out, and adding more things in the recipe. Just to make it how I like it, and what my tastebuds enjoy.
